Frequently Asked Questions
Welcome, Magical Friends!
Here’s where I answer the questions I hear most often about my books and the world of Plymbury.
How often do you release new books?
Like sea glass polished by the tide, my stories arrive in their own time. I usually release one or two books each year—sometimes more, sometimes less—but always when the story feels ready to be shared.
Where is Plymbury, Massachusetts? Can I visit?
Plymbury is a fictional seaside town set along the southeastern coast of Massachusetts. While it doesn’t exist on any map, it was inspired by the coastal towns I know and love—places with salt air, sandy beaches, and a touch of everyday magic.
Are your books romance?
Love always finds a way into my stories, though I don’t always follow the traditional romance path. Sometimes my books end with a happily-ever-after, sometimes with a quieter resolution—but always with love, hope, and a touch of magic.
What kind of magic do you write about?
I write magical realism—everyday worlds where magic lingers just beneath the surface. In Plymbury, you might stumble across a wish-granting sea glass star, hear the whisper of ancestors in a garden, or taste intention baked into a recipe. The magic is subtle, meaningful, and woven into daily life.
Do I need to read your books in order?
Most of my novels set in Plymbury can be enjoyed as standalones. However, The Plymbury Witch and its sequel are best read in order—The Plymbury Witch first, then the sequel—to experience the story without spoilers.
Future novels may revisit familiar characters or places, but each will also tell a complete story of its own. You can think of Plymbury as a shared world: sometimes books connect more closely, sometimes they stand entirely alone.
Are your books available in bookstores?
Yes! My novels are widely available online and through bookstores. Many Barnes & Noble locations in Massachusetts and throughout New England carry them on their shelves. Still, you can always ask your favorite bookstore in any area to order a copy. Signed editions are available at my book signings and on my website here.
Do you do book clubs, events, or speaking?
I love connecting with readers! I’m happy to join local book clubs in person (Massachusetts) or virtually on Google Meet. I’m also available for book signings and speaking opportunities. If you’d like me to visit your club, store, or event, please reach out through my Contact page.
Why did you choose indie publishing?
I started in traditional publishing, but with my novels, I chose the independent path, allowing me to bring my stories to readers more directly—with complete creative freedom and a deep connection to the heart of each book.
How can I hear about new releases?
The very best way to stay in touch is through my monthly newsletter. You’ll receive updates on new releases, magical reflections, and occasional short fiction—plus first invitations to events and signings.
