Her work is rooted in the fictional seaside town of Plymbury, Massachusetts—a place inspired by the real coastal communities she has called home. In Plymbury, everyday life is touched by mystery and meaning, where love and transformation unfold against the backdrop of the sea.

Kendra earned her MFA in Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University and previously worked with Simon & Schuster as a freelance editor and ghostwriter, contributing to spiritual and New Age titles.
